Sprint WiFi BlackBerry PlayBook Comming June 5th?

playbook-sprint According to Sprint’s Market Director Gerald Evans, Sprint is going to release their WiFi version of the BlackBerry PlayBook on June 5th, 2011. Since there is not an official announcement from Sprint or RIM, so I wonder whether we have to wait much longer or not?  Here is the posted information from Gerald Evans personal blog:

The much anticipated BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet with Wi-Fi® connectivity and 16 GB of storage will go on sale in all Sprint direct ship sales channels, including Sprint Stores, Business Sales, www.sprint.com and Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) on Sunday, June 5, for $499.99 (plus tax).

Hopefully, we will get the official announcement of the 4G PlayBook from Sprint or RIM soon!

Facebook for BlackBerry Version 2.0 Beta 3 Now Available in the Beta Zone!

FB RIM has released the third beta version of Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones v2.0, and it is now available for download in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. The update is coming out with some new features requested by users and has fixed some minor bugs.

Here are some new features added:

  • WiFi support
  • The ability to delete comments and posts
  • New delete prompts

Leaked BlackBerry PlayBook 2 Details & Specs

PlayBook 2 We ever heard a rumor that the BlackBerry PlayBook 2 would be coming with a 10-inch screen, now it seems that it will possibly become real together with a higher resolution. Here are some more leaked details and specs of the PlayBook 2:

  • Black & white colored models
  • SIM card slot
  • 4G/WiFi only, no 3G version
  • Thinner frame around screen
  • Able to connect to BES without BlackBerry Bridge
    Besides, it’s also rumored that RIM would also update the QNX OS the moment when the BlackBerry PlayBook 2 release, along with some needed features, such as: native email, calendar and other standard BlackBerry Apps. Leaked AT&T Roadmap Showing BlackBerry ‘Uwan’ 9810 Expecting To Release In Q2

AT&T Roadmap Per the AT&T roadmap leaked from PocketNow, it seems that the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810 ‘Uwan’ is expected to be releasing in Q2. This roadmap has not been updated yet, as it still shows the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810 running OS 6.1 (which shoud be OS 7).

However, it’s rumored that BlackBerry OS 7 will be delayed, so it may push back the release of BlackBerry ‘Uwan’ 9810 to Q3. Let’s wait and see!
