RIM Launches BlackBerry Service Update Web Page

October 13th, 2011

As we all know these two days there sis something wrong with the BlackBerry service outages. Now RIM launches BlackBerry service update web page with the latest info on service outages and resolution.

UPDATE Not even a few minutes after this post went live, RIM tweeted about a general web page which addresses the outages. The latest update there includes info on the outage in the United States and Canada:

BlackBerry subscribers in the Americas may be experiencing intermittent service delays this morning. We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and we apologize to our customers for any inconvenience. We will provide a further update as soon as more information is available.

While RIM hasn’t confirmed the BlackBerry service outages in the United States and Canada yet, they’ve launched a web page on the BlackBerry UK website that has the latest info on the outages and what they’re doing about it. With five updates as of 12PM BST, the latest notice says they know users are still experiencing issues and they are “working night and day to restore all BlackBerry services to normal levels”. So far it looks like this web page is focused on the outage for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
