Video: First BlackBerry PlayBook Commercial Finally Hits The Air!

Finally, we saw a BlackBerry PlayBook commercial hitting the air after it launched for a week. It seems that this 30-Second commercial is the first advertisement of the device, it does show us much of the BlackBerry PlayBook’s portability and power. It looks pretty good, and is worth of watching for anyone that wants to buy a PlayBook Tablet. Enjoy it!

7digital Music Store and the BlackBerry Podcasts App Demo on BlackBerry PlayBook

RIM has posted up a great video to show us 2 specific BlackBerry Media Apps – 7digital Music Store and the BlackBerry Podcasts App that will come with the BlackBerry PlayBook. In the above video, BlackBerry PlayBook Product Manager Ryan Bidan provided us with some key features about each application:

7digital Music Store:

  • 7digital Music Store offers over 13 million songs, and tracks are available at prices starting as low as $0.79 with bitrates up to 320 kbps (DRM free).
  • 7digital Music Store content is stored in the cloud via a digital music locker for easy portability across devices and to help against accidental loss.
  • 7digital Music Store includes a recommendation engine that features content based upon recent browsing and purchase activity.

BlackBerry Podcasts App:

  • The BlackBerry Podcasts app for the BlackBerry PlayBook includes 19 content categories, ranging from sports to entertainment to business, including popular content such as the New Yorker and Ask A Ninja podcasts.
  • BlackBerry Podcasts allow users to preview an episode before downloading or subscribing to it, and it automatically downloads new podcasts for subscribed channels.

Video: BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet for Business

RIM has posted a new BlackBerry PlayBook video to show us how BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet is designed with enterprise environments in mind and built for business professionals. From the video, it seems that the BlackBerry PlayBook is the most suitable tablet for business use. I am looking forward to the official release of PlayBook and want to see if it will work as this video claims!

"We’ll also Support Android Apps” Heard during a BlackBerry PlayBook Demo at MWC 2011

We have heard of a lot of rumors that BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet would have the ability to run Android Apps, but none is officially confirmed by RIM. However, in this video, if you listen carefully (around the 0:14 second mark), you will hear the person saying “We’ll also supports Android Apps”. This is more or less authentic though it is also not confirmed. After all, it is a bold statement being made during Mobile World Congress without some sort of back-up information. What do you think?

Leaked Video for the New BlackBerry Storm 3 (Monaco)

The new BlackBerry Storm 3 (Monaco) looks awesome in the leaked video. It’s said to be available on Verizon, however, the new BlackBerry Monaco has not been officially announced, maybe RIM is working on making the user experience much better. RIM posted a BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK overview video for all developers to demonstrate the great features of the tablet OS SDK. This video can help developers have a good knowledge of using the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR and the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator to develop BlackBerry Tablet PlayBook Apps.

From the video, it seems that it is very easy to develop a PlayBook Apps. Let’s wait for the launch of PlayBook Apps together with the release of PlayBook!

RIM Posted New BlackBerry Playbook Video to Show Off Its Great Multimedia Capabilities

RIM posted a new video to show off new BlackBerry Book’s multimedia, games and social networking capabilities. The video lasts for over 3 minutes, and has greatly demonstrated the PlayBook’s rich web video content using both HTML5 and Adobe Flash, and social networking with Facebook Chat, Facebook Flash games and viewing embedded content in your News Feed. It sounds much easily and smoothly to browse through the web with the BlackBerry Tablet PlayBook without any issue.

It sounds to be a really wonderful experience by using PlayBook, I cannot wait any more and just want the PlayBook right now!

Official BlackBerry Tumblr Application Now Available

tumblr As trentm in the forums posted, Tumblr has rolled out their own official BlackBerry application. Personally, I’m a Posterous fan myself but if you frequent using Tumblr you’ll want to check the app out for sure. From what I can tell, all native Tumblr functions are in place within the app. For example text, audio and even video show as being supported features and this is only the first version. Give it shot if you are a Tumblr user and let us know how it works out for ya.
